I can't quite figure out why, but this struck me as odd.

ok, my parents don't but my oldest sister (who is technically old enough to be my mother) writes "lol" a lot as well as signing off with {{{{hugs}}}}. which is a little hard for me to handle, so i can only imagine how you must be feeling.
