right, but the scientists are not even sure what this means. . .what if it's evolutionarily possible that fish become intersexed? perhaps we impose our sex dichotomies onto animals (don't even get me started on March of the Penguins). there is a biologist at Stanford, Joan Roughgarden who writes about this kind of stuff.
